Description
Indulge in the creamy bliss of White Chocolate Panna Cotta, a delightful dessert that is both rich and smooth.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) unflavored gelatin
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over 3 tablespoons of cold water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it blooms.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is hot but not boiling.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and add the white chocolate chips. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add the bloomed gelatin and vanilla extract to the warm cream mixture. Stir until the gelatin is fully dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into individual serving cups or ramekins. Allow to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
- To serve, gently run a knife around the edge of each panna cotta and invert onto a plate, or serve directly in the cups.
Notes
- For a fruity twist, top with fresh berries or a berry compote before serving.
- For a more decadent dessert, drizzle with caramel sauce or chocolate sauce.
