Description
Smash Burger Tacos are a delicious fusion of classic smash burgers and tacos, perfect for a fun dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- ½ cup diced onions
- ½ cup pickles, sliced
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- Cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of cooking oil over medium-high heat.
- While the skillet is heating, form the ground beef into 8 equal balls (about 2 ounces each).
- Once the skillet is hot, place a beef ball in the skillet and smash it down with a spatula to form a patty. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the edges are crispy, then flip the patty and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- While the patty is cooking, warm the flour tortillas in a separate pan or microwave until soft and pliable.
- Once the patties are cooked, place each one on a warm tortilla.
- Top each patty with shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes, onions, and pickles.
- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard together. Drizzle the sauce over the toppings.
- Fold the tortillas over the fillings to create tacos and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the tacos.
- Try using corn tortillas for a gluten-free option or experiment with different cheeses like pepper jack for added flavor.
