Description
Savor this easy recipe for Scottish Salmon with Dill Sauce, a delightful dish that combines tender salmon fillets with a creamy, flavorful dill sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skin-on
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried dill)
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon capers, rinsed and chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the salmon fillets skin-side down. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- While the salmon is baking, prepare the dill sauce. In a medium bowl, combine the sour cream, dill, Dijon mustard, garlic, and capers (if using). Mix well until smooth.
- Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the salmon fillets topped with the dill sauce.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, try grilling the salmon instead of baking it.
- Substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream for a lighter version of the dill sauce.
