Description

Delicious Nutella stuffed cookies that are sure to delight your tastebuds.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Nutella (or any hazelnut spread)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and eggs to the butter mixture, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to make it easier to handle.
  7. Once chilled, scoop about 1.5 tablespoons of dough and flatten it in your palm. Place a teaspoon of Nutella in the center and fold the dough around it, rolling it into a ball.
  8. Place the cookie dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked; they will firm up as they cool.
  10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a fun twist, add chopped nuts or dried fruit to the cookie dough for extra texture and flavor.
  • If you prefer a less sweet cookie, reduce the granulated sugar to 1/2 cup and increase the flour by 1/4 cup.
