Description

A nourishing and flavorful Miso-Ginger Lemon Electrolyte Broth that is perfect for hydration and wellness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons white miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (about 1 medium lemon)
  • 4 cups low-sodium vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 green onion, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional, for added flavor)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the vegetable broth, white miso paste, grated ginger, and sea salt. Stir well to dissolve the miso paste completely.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it begins to simmer, then reduce the heat to low.
  3. Add the lemon juice and honey or maple syrup (if using) to the broth, stirring to combine. Allow the broth to simmer gently for about 5-10 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  4. Taste the broth and adjust the seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lemon juice as desired.
  5. If using sesame oil, drizzle it into the broth just before serving.
  6. Ladle the broth into bowls and garnish with sliced green onion. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For a heartier broth, add cooked noodles or tofu.
  • Experiment with different herbs like cilantro or basil for added freshness.
