Description

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole or your choice)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed sweet potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.
  3. Drain the sweet potatoes and return them to the pot.
  4. Add the milk, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper to the sweet potatoes.
  5. Mash the sweet potatoes using a potato masher or a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve warm.
