Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork. Mix well until combined.
- Add the breadcrumbs, chopped onion, parsley, salt, black pepper, paprika, coriander, cumin, cayenne pepper (if using), Worcestershire sauce, and egg to the meat mixture.
- Using your hands, mix all the ingredients together until well combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Shape the mixture into rectangular patties, about 1/2 inch thick. You should get about 8-10 patties.
- Preheat a skillet or grill over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
- Serve hot with your choice of sides, such as baked beans, fried eggs, or in a sandwich.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add more cayenne pepper or some chopped jalapeños to the mixture.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option while still keeping the flavor by adjusting the seasoning.
