Description
Delicious lobster tails baked in a rich garlic Parmesan butter sauce, perfect for a special dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ pounds lobster tails (about 4 tails)
- ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Using kitchen scissors, carefully cut the top shell of each lobster tail down the center, stopping just before the tail fin. Gently pull the shell apart to expose the meat.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet, meat side up. Brush the garlic Parmesan butter mixture generously over the lobster meat.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 140°F (60°C).
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve with lemon wedges and drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the top.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, try adding a teaspoon of smoked paprika to the garlic butter mixture.
- If you prefer grilling, you can place the prepared lobster tails on a grill over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes, brushing with the garlic butter as they cook.
