Description

A light and healthy dessert option that combines the flavors of Jello with a creamy mousse texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (3 oz) sugar-free Jello (any flavor)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, dissolve the sugar-free Jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved.
  2. Add 1 cup of cold water to the Jello mixture and stir well. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes, or until it starts to thicken but is not fully set.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  4. Once the Jello mixture has thickened, gently fold in the whipped cream until fully combined. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
  5. Spoon the mousse into individual serving dishes or a large bowl. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
  6. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a fruitier flavor, add in some fresh berries or sliced bananas before chilling.
  • Experiment with different Jello flavors to create a variety of mousses for different occasions.
