Description
A delicious and easy Lemon-Brown Butter Salmon recipe that is perfect for a quick dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
- Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides and place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Continue cooking, stirring frequently, until the butter turns a golden brown color and has a nutty aroma, about 5-7 minutes. Be careful not to burn it.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and minced garlic. Mix well.
- Pour the brown butter mixture evenly over the salmon fillets.
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
- Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
- For a crispy skin, place the salmon skin-side up in a hot skillet for 2-3 minutes before transferring it to the oven.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the brown butter mixture for a spicy kick.
