Description

Keto Zaatar Crackers with Cream Cheese Dip are irresistible!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon zaatar spice mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon filtered water
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon zaatar spice mix
  • Freshly ground black pepper and salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the almond flour, zaatar, garlic powder, onion powder, and sea salt until well combined.
  3. Incorporate the egg, olive oil, and water into the dry mixture, stirring until a cohesive dough forms.
  4. Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll it out to a thickness of about ¼ inch.
  5. Peel off the top layer of parchment and cut the dough into squares or your preferred shapes. Carefully transfer the pieces onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges turn a lovely golden brown. Let the crisps cool completely on the baking sheet.
  7. While the crisps are baking, prepare the creamy herb dip by blending the softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, zaatar, and a pinch of salt and pepper until smooth and creamy.
  8. Once the crisps have cooled, serve them alongside the creamy herb dip for a delightful snack.

Notes

  • For an extra flavor boost, consider adding a dash of smoked paprika to the dip.
  • If you want to enhance the crunch of the crisps, sprinkle some sesame seeds on top before baking.
