- 2 cups almond flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine almond flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, eggs, and heavy cream until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and cooked sausage.
- Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop heaping tablespoons of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.
- Allow the biscuits to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- These biscuits are best served warm.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the dry ingredients.
- You can substitute the breakfast sausage with crumbled bacon or turkey sausage for a different flavor profile.
