Description
A delicious vegan recipe for Honey Garlic Cauliflower Bites that are crispy and flavorful.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika until smooth.
- Add the cauliflower florets to the batter and toss until they are evenly coated.
- Spread the coated cauliflower in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- While the cauliflower is baking, prepare the honey garlic sauce by combining honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and sesame oil in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- Once the cauliflower is done baking, remove it from the oven and drizzle the honey garlic sauce over the florets. Toss gently to coat.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the honey garlic sauce.
- For a gluten-free version, substitute the all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend and use tamari instead of soy sauce.
