Description

A delightful and healthy spread made with grapes, walnuts, and chia seeds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups seedless grapes, halved
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the halved grapes and honey (or maple syrup). Cook over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the grapes start to break down and release their juices.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and use a fork or potato masher to mash the grapes to your desired consistency.
  3. Stir in the chia seeds, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well to combine.
  4. Let the mixture sit for about 10-15 minutes to allow the chia seeds to absorb the liquid and thicken the jam.
  5. Once thickened, fold in the chopped walnuts.
  6. Transfer the jam to a clean jar or container and let it cool completely. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • For a smoother texture, blend the grape mixture before adding the chia seeds.
  • Experiment with different nuts, such as pecans or almonds, for a unique flavor twist.
