Description

A deliciously easy recipe for garlic butter meatballs that are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, oregano, salt, black pepper, and parsley. Mix until well combined but do not overmix.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until they are cooked through and browned.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, melt the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the red pepper flakes if using.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, transfer them to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce until well coated.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef.
  • Add some grated zucchini or finely chopped spinach to the meatball mixture for extra veggies and moisture.
