A delightful and refreshing Frozen Yogurt Bark recipe featuring a mix of berries and nuts, perfect for a healthy snack or dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup agave nectar or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 cup assorted berries (blackberries, strawberries, blueberries)
- 1/4 cup crushed nuts (hazelnuts, pistachios, or cashews)
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, agave nectar (or maple syrup), and almond extract until the mixture is creamy and uniform.
- Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Spread the yogurt mixture onto the lined baking sheet, smoothing it out to a thickness of about 1/4 inch.
- Evenly distribute the assorted berries, crushed nuts, and mini chocolate chips (if desired) over the yogurt layer.
- Gently press down on the toppings to embed them into the yogurt.
- Transfer the baking sheet to the freezer and allow it to freeze for a minimum of 4 hours or until it is completely firm.
- Once frozen, lift the yogurt bark from the parchment paper and break it into irregular pieces.
- Store the bark in a sealed container in the freezer until you’re ready to enjoy it.
Notes
- For a refreshing change, swap the berries for diced kiwi and pineapple.
- Enhance the yogurt mixture with a hint of nutmeg or a splash of coconut extract for added depth of flavor.
