- 1 cup natural almond butter
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the almond butter, cocoa powder, melted coconut oil, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and sea salt. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- If using, fold in the chopped nuts and shredded coconut until evenly distributed.
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared dish and spread it evenly.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
- Once set, lift the fudge out of the dish using the parchment paper and cut it into squares.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
- For a mint chocolate variation, add 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract to the mixture before refrigerating.
- Substitute almond butter with peanut butter or sunflower seed butter for a different flavor profile.
