Description
A delicious and creamy scrambled eggs recipe enhanced with cream cheese for a rich flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 large eggs
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chives or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, crack the eggs and add the milk. Whisk together until well combined and slightly frothy.
- Add the softened cream cheese to the egg mixture and whisk until smooth. It’s okay if there are a few small lumps of cream cheese.
- In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat.
- Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and let it sit for about 30 seconds without stirring.
- Gently stir the eggs with a spatula, pushing them from the edges of the skillet toward the center. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the eggs are softly set but still slightly runny. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately, garnished with chopped chives or parsley if desired.
Notes
- For a flavor boost, add sautéed vegetables like spinach, bell peppers, or mushrooms to the egg mixture before cooking.
- For a spicy kick, mix in a dash of hot sauce or some crumbled feta cheese before cooking.
