Description
A delicious summer treat featuring sweet and savory corn on the cob topped with butter.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ears of fresh corn, husked and cleaned
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil over high heat. Add the husked corn to the boiling water.
- Cook the corn for 5-7 minutes until tender. If you prefer a firmer texture, reduce the cooking time to 4-5 minutes.
- While the corn is cooking, mix the softened butter, salt, black pepper, and paprika (if using) in a small bowl until well combined.
- Once the corn is cooked, carefully remove it from the pot using tongs and let it drain for a minute.
- Serve the corn hot with a generous dollop of the seasoned butter on top. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the butter mixture or sprinkle some chili powder on top before serving.
- Try grilling the corn instead of boiling for a smoky flavor. Simply soak the husked corn in water for 30 minutes, then grill over medium heat for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally.
