- 8 ounces chow mein noodles
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (any color)
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1 cup sliced green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced carrots and bell peppers to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.
- Add the cooked chow mein noodles, bean sprouts, and green onions to the skillet.
- Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
Notes
- For added protein, consider adding cooked chicken, shrimp, or tofu to the stir-fry.
- Customize the vegetables by adding broccoli, snap peas, or mushrooms based on your preference.
