Description

A delightful cheesy garlic bread that pulls apart easily, perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, and egg until combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and parsley until evenly distributed.
  6. Spoon the dough into the prepared loaf pan, pressing down gently to pack it in.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly before pulling apart and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding cooked and crumbled bacon or diced jalapeños to the dough before baking.
  • You can also substitute the mozzarella with cheddar cheese for a different taste.
