Description

A classic cheeseburger recipe that is juicy and flavorful, perfect for any barbecue or family meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, gently mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
  3. Once the grill or skillet is hot, add the vegetable oil. Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side.
  4. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each one. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burgers reach your desired doneness.
  5. While the burgers are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cheeseburger patty, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For added flavor, mix in your favorite spices or Worcestershire sauce into the ground beef before forming the patties.
  • Try swapping out the cheddar cheese for pepper jack or blue cheese for a different flavor profile.
