Description

A delicious low-carb pizza option featuring a flavorful taco-inspired topping on a low-carb tortilla crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large low-carb tortilla (810 inches)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked ground beef or turkey
  • 1/2 packet taco seasoning (about 1 tablespoon)
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup diced avocado
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef or turkey and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until well combined.
  3. Place the low-carb tortilla on a baking sheet. Spread the salsa evenly over the tortilla, then sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese on top.
  4. Evenly distribute the seasoned meat over the cheese, followed by the diced tomatoes, black olives, and the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the tortilla are crispy.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Top with shredded lettuce, sour cream, diced avocado, and shredded cheddar cheese before slicing.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding jalapeños or a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes before baking.
  • You can also substitute the ground meat with shredded chicken or a plant-based protein for a different twist.
