Description
A refreshing and healthy Strawberry Basil Chia Pudding that combines the sweetness of strawberries with the aromatic flavor of basil.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup (or honey)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the almond milk, chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes, then whisk again to prevent clumping of the chia seeds.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight, until the pudding thickens to your desired consistency.
- Once the pudding is set, fold in the sliced strawberries and chopped basil gently.
- Serve in individual bowls or jars, garnished with additional strawberries and basil if desired.
Notes
- For a creamier texture, blend the almond milk and chia seeds together before refrigerating.
- Substitute the strawberries with other berries like blueberries or raspberries for a different flavor profile.
