Description

A delicious and hearty dish featuring smoked sausage and creamy cauliflower, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cauliflower florets (fresh or frozen)
  • 12 ounces smoked sausage, cut into rounds
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large saucepan, bring water to a rolling boil and add the cauliflower florets. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until tender, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and sour cream with garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt until creamy and well combined.
  4. Gently fold in the drained cauliflower and sliced smoked sausage, ensuring everything is evenly coated.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  6. Top with a generous layer of shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before garnishing with fresh green onions. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For an extra kick, use a spicy smoked sausage or add red pepper flakes to the cream cheese blend.
  • Swap cauliflower for broccoli or a combination of both for a delightful twist.
