A savory and delicious Scandinavian Dill & Salmon Keto Quiche that is perfect for any meal of the day.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup cooked salmon, shredded
  • 1/2 cup softened cream cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup freshly chopped dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • Additional salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch tart pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, blend the almond flour, melted butter, sea salt, and black pepper until a cohesive dough forms.
  3. Transfer the mixture into the tart pan, pressing it firmly into the base and up the sides.
  4. Bake the crust for about 10 minutes, then take it out and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
  5. In a separate large bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy whipping cream, cream cheese, chopped dill, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper until smooth and creamy.
  6. Evenly distribute the shredded salmon over the cooled crust, then gently pour the egg mixture on top, ensuring the salmon is well-covered.
  7. Top the tart with the grated mozzarella cheese.
  8. Place it in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is firm and the cheese is golden brown.
  9. Once baked, let the tart rest for about 10 minutes before slicing into wedges.
