- 1 cup cooked salmon, shredded
- 1/2 cup softened cream cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup freshly chopped dill
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- Additional salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch tart pan.
- In a mixing bowl, blend the almond flour, melted butter, sea salt, and black pepper until a cohesive dough forms.
- Transfer the mixture into the tart pan, pressing it firmly into the base and up the sides.
- Bake the crust for about 10 minutes, then take it out and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
- In a separate large bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy whipping cream, cream cheese, chopped dill, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper until smooth and creamy.
- Evenly distribute the shredded salmon over the cooled crust, then gently pour the egg mixture on top, ensuring the salmon is well-covered.
- Top the tart with the grated mozzarella cheese.
- Place it in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is firm and the cheese is golden brown.
- Once baked, let the tart rest for about 10 minutes before slicing into wedges.
