Description

Sausage Jalapeno Chaffles are the perfect crispy treat!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped jalapenos (fresh or pickled)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or oil for the waffle maker

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella cheese, eggs, crumbled sausage, chopped jalapenos, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Preheat your waffle maker and lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil.
  3. Pour half of the chaffle batter into the center of the preheated waffle maker, spreading it slightly to cover the surface.
  4. Close the lid and cook for about 3-5 minutes, or until the chaffle is golden brown and crispy.
  5. Carefully remove the chaffle and repeat with the remaining batter.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or toppings, such as sour cream, guacamole, or salsa.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add more jalapenos or a dash of hot sauce to the batter.
