Ingredients

- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled
- 1/4 cup finely chopped jalapenos (fresh or pickled)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray or oil for the waffle maker
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella cheese, eggs, crumbled sausage, chopped jalapenos, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Preheat your waffle maker and lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil.
- Pour half of the chaffle batter into the center of the preheated waffle maker, spreading it slightly to cover the surface.
- Close the lid and cook for about 3-5 minutes, or until the chaffle is golden brown and crispy.
- Carefully remove the chaffle and repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or toppings, such as sour cream, guacamole, or salsa.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add more jalapenos or a dash of hot sauce to the batter.
- For a cheesy variation, mix in 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese for extra flavor.
