A flavorful and spicy Korean-inspired salmon dish featuring a gochujang butter sauce.

- 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, gochujang, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, lime juice, and sesame oil until well combined.
- Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the gochujang butter mixture evenly over the top of each fillet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a couple of minutes.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- This recipe serves 2.
- For a spicier kick, add more gochujang to the butter mixture.
- Serve with steamed rice or quinoa to soak up the delicious sauce.
