Description

A flavorful and spicy Korean-inspired salmon dish featuring a gochujang butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, gochujang, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, lime juice, and sesame oil until well combined.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Spread the gochujang butter mixture evenly over the top of each fillet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for a couple of minutes.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • This recipe serves 2.
  • For a spicier kick, add more gochujang to the butter mixture.
  • Serve with steamed rice or quinoa to soak up the delicious sauce.
