Description
A delicious and flavorful recipe for Keto Thai Lemongrass Pork Chops, perfect for a low-carb diet.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ pounds bone-in pork chops
- 2 tablespoons lemongrass paste (or 2 stalks fresh lemongrass, minced)
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or coconut aminos for a stricter keto option)
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the lemongrass paste, fish sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, olive oil, garlic powder, ground ginger, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.
- Add the pork chops to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a little olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Remove the pork chops from the marinade and let any excess drip off.
- Grill or sear the pork chops for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
- Once cooked, remove the pork chops from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider marinating the pork chops overnight.
- Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad to complement the dish and keep it keto-friendly.
