Ingredients

- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup erythritol or your preferred keto-friendly sweetener
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, and salt. Stir well to combine.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and add the erythritol. Stir until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
- Simmer the mixture for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and reduces by about half.
- Remove from heat and stir in the olive oil for added richness.
- Allow the glaze to cool slightly before using. It will thicken more as it cools.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the glaze while it simmers.
- This glaze pairs wonderfully with grilled meats or roasted vegetables; try it drizzled over a salad for an extra flavor boost.
