Description

A delicious and healthy Keto Salmon Tartare with a refreshing twist of ginger and sesame, perfect for a light meal or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh sushi-grade salmon, diced
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the diced salmon and avocado.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced ginger, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the dressing over the salmon and avocado mixture, gently folding to combine without mashing the avocado.
  4. Sprinkle in the green onions and sesame seeds, mixing lightly.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Serve immediately, or chill in the refrigerator for up to 30 minutes before serving for enhanced flavors.
  7. If using, arrange the cucumber slices on a plate and serve the tartare on top or alongside.

Notes

  • For added crunch, mix in some chopped radishes or serve with crispy seaweed snacks.
  • Substitute the salmon with diced tuna or a mix of both for a different flavor profile.
