- 1 pound fresh sushi-grade salmon, diced
- 1 avocado, diced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon green onions, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced for serving
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the diced salmon and avocado.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced ginger, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the dressing over the salmon and avocado mixture, gently folding to combine without mashing the avocado.
- Sprinkle in the green onions and sesame seeds, mixing lightly.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve immediately, or chill in the refrigerator for up to 30 minutes before serving for enhanced flavors.
- If using, arrange the cucumber slices on a plate and serve the tartare on top or alongside.
Notes
- For added crunch, mix in some chopped radishes or serve with crispy seaweed snacks.
