Keto Pretzel Bites with Cheese Sauce: A Must-Try Snack!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons coconut flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1 cup water
  • For the cheese sauce:
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine mozzarella cheese and olive oil. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then microwave for another 30 seconds until melted and smooth.
  4. Add the melted cheese and egg to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, you can add a little more almond flour.
  5. In a small pot, bring water to a boil and add baking soda.
  6. Divide the dough into small pieces and roll each piece into a bite-sized ball.
  7. Carefully drop each ball into the boiling water for about 30 seconds, then remove and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Sprinkle garlic powder and onion powder over the pretzel bites.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. While the pretzel bites are baking, prepare the cheese sauce. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine cheddar cheese, heavy cream, cream cheese, garlic powder, and paprika. Stir until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  11. Once the pretzel bites are done, remove them from the oven and serve warm with the cheese sauce.
