Description

Keto Moroccan Lamb Meatballs with Harissa Yogurt delightfully boost your meals!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground lamb
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)

For the Harissa Yogurt:

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons harissa paste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, almond flour, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, parsley, mint, cumin, coriander, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  4. While the meatballs are cooking, prepare the Harissa Yogurt by mixing Greek yogurt, harissa paste, lemon juice, and salt in a small bowl until smooth.
  5. Serve the meatballs warm with a generous dollop of Harissa Yogurt on the side.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon to the meatball mixture.
  • You can substitute ground lamb with ground beef or turkey for a different taste.
