Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground lamb
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)
For the Harissa Yogurt:
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons harissa paste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, almond flour, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, parsley, mint, cumin, coriander, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
- While the meatballs are cooking, prepare the Harissa Yogurt by mixing Greek yogurt, harissa paste, lemon juice, and salt in a small bowl until smooth.
- Serve the meatballs warm with a generous dollop of Harissa Yogurt on the side.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon to the meatball mixture.
- You can substitute ground lamb with ground beef or turkey for a different taste.
