Description
Keto Labneh Cheese Balls with Olive Oil & Herbs delightfully transform your snacking!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups full-fat Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup high-quality olive oil
- Chopped fresh herbs for decoration (like cilantro or chives)
Instructions
- Begin by mixing the Greek yogurt, sea salt, onion powder, dried basil, dried rosemary, and chili flakes (if desired) in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth and evenly blended.
- Set up a fine mesh sieve or colander lined with a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth, positioned over a bowl to catch the excess liquid.
- Transfer the yogurt blend into the prepared sieve, folding the cloth over the top to cover it. Allow it to drain in the refrigerator for a minimum of 12 hours, or overnight for a firmer texture.
- Once the draining process is complete, gently unwrap the cheese from the cloth and shape it into small spheres, roughly one inch in size.
- In a shallow bowl, pour the olive oil and carefully place the cheese balls inside. Turn them around to ensure they are thoroughly coated in the oil.
- Garnish the cheese bites with a sprinkle of fresh herbs for an added burst of flavor and visual appeal.
- Enjoy them right away or store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to a week.
Notes
- Experiment with different herbs such as tarragon or dill for unique flavor profiles.
- Pair with crunchy vegetables or low-carb crackers for an exquisite appetizer experience.
