Description
A delicious and easy Keto Ground Beef Skillet with Broccoli recipe that is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce or coconut aminos
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well.
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and pour in the heavy cream and soy sauce. Stir to combine. Cover the skillet and let it cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender.
- Remove the lid and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover again for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, try incorporating other vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini.
- Substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
