Description

Hot Honey Pizza is a delightful combination of sweet and spicy flavors, perfect for pizza lovers looking for something unique.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup warm water (about 110°F)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup sliced pepperoni
  • ¼ cup hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Gradually add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  7. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  9. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then add the sliced pepperoni on top.
  10. Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven (or onto the pizza stone). Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  11. Remove the pizza from the oven and drizzle hot honey over the top.
  12. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Slice and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the pizza sauce before spreading it on the dough.
  • Try using different toppings like bell peppers, mushrooms, or olives to customize your pizza to your taste.
