Description

Delicious and guilt-free flourless keto brownies made with almond butter and cocoa powder.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond butter
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup erythritol (or your preferred keto sweetener)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar-free chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond butter, cocoa powder, erythritol, eggs, applesauce, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. If using, fold in the sugar-free chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before lifting them out using the parchment paper. Let them cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of instant coffee granules to the batter.
  • Substitute almond butter with peanut butter or sunflower seed butter for different flavor profiles.
