Description
Delicious and guilt-free flourless keto brownies made with almond butter and cocoa powder.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup almond butter
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup erythritol (or your preferred keto sweetener)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sugar-free chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond butter, cocoa powder, erythritol, eggs, applesauce, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- If using, fold in the sugar-free chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before lifting them out using the parchment paper. Let them cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of instant coffee granules to the batter.
- Substitute almond butter with peanut butter or sunflower seed butter for different flavor profiles.
