Description

A delicious appetizer featuring large white mushrooms stuffed with a creamy cheese mixture.


Ingredients

  • 16 large white mushrooms, stems removed
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems. Finely chop the stems and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, chopped mushroom stems, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Using a spoon, fill each mushroom cap generously with the cheese mixture.
  5. Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired before serving.

  • For a spicier kick, add 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the cheese mixture.
