A delicious appetizer featuring large white mushrooms stuffed with a creamy cheese mixture.

- 16 large white mushrooms, stems removed
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems. Finely chop the stems and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, chopped mushroom stems, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Using a spoon, fill each mushroom cap generously with the cheese mixture.
- Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the cheese mixture.
- Try substituting the mozzarella with crumbled feta cheese for a tangy flavor twist.
