Description
Chili Chocolate Bark is a spicy sweet treat that combines rich dark chocolate with a kick of cayenne pepper and warm spices.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa), chopped
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
- 1/4 cup dried cherries or cranberries (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
- Once melted, stir in the cayenne pepper, ground cinnamon, sea salt, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Fold in the chopped nuts and dried cherries or cranberries if using.
- Pour the chocolate mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into an even layer, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Sprinkle a little extra sea salt on top if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until the chocolate is fully set.
- Once set, break the bark into pieces and serve.
Notes
- For a sweeter bark, use milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate.
- Experiment with different spices like nutmeg or cardamom for a unique flavor twist.
