- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the cherries, lemon juice, granulated sugar, and almond extract. Toss until the cherries are well coated. Spread the cherry mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix together the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Pour in the melted butter and stir until the mixture is crumbly and well combined.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the cherries in the baking dish. Top with sliced almonds.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the cherries are bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider mixing in a teaspoon of vanilla extract with the cherry mixture.
- Substitute half of the rolled oats with crushed graham crackers for a different texture and taste.
