Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they are caramelized, about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet with the onions and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in the beef broth, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer the beef and onion mixture to a baking dish. Top with shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
