Description

Cheeseburger Cabbage Wraps are a delicious low-carb alternative to traditional burgers, packed with flavor and easy to make.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 large cabbage leaves
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced pickles
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • Fresh lettuce leaves for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the spices are fragrant.
  3. Remove the skillet from heat and mix in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and combined.
  4. While the beef mixture cools slightly, prepare the cabbage leaves by blanching them in boiling water for 1-2 minutes until softened. Drain and set aside.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, pickles, mayonnaise, and mustard. Mix well to create the sauce.
  6. To assemble, take a cabbage leaf and spoon a portion of the beef mixture into the center. Drizzle with the sauce and add fresh lettuce if desired.
  7. Wrap the cabbage leaf around the filling, folding in the sides to secure. Repeat with the remaining leaves and filling.
  8. Serve immediately, or chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes for a refreshing twist.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add diced jalapeños to the beef mixture.
  • Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
