Description
Cheeseburger Cabbage Wraps are a delicious low-carb alternative to traditional burgers, packed with flavor and easy to make.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 large cabbage leaves
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced pickles
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- Fresh lettuce leaves for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the spices are fragrant.
- Remove the skillet from heat and mix in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and combined.
- While the beef mixture cools slightly, prepare the cabbage leaves by blanching them in boiling water for 1-2 minutes until softened. Drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, pickles, mayonnaise, and mustard. Mix well to create the sauce.
- To assemble, take a cabbage leaf and spoon a portion of the beef mixture into the center. Drizzle with the sauce and add fresh lettuce if desired.
- Wrap the cabbage leaf around the filling, folding in the sides to secure. Repeat with the remaining leaves and filling.
- Serve immediately, or chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes for a refreshing twist.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add diced jalapeños to the beef mixture.
- Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
