Description
Celeriac Fries with Garlic Mayo Dip is a crispy and delicious alternative to traditional fries, served with a flavorful garlic mayo dip.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 medium celeriacs (about 1.5 pounds total)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- For the garlic mayo dip:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Peel the celeriacs and cut them into fry-shaped sticks, about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a large bowl, toss the celeriac fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- While the fries are baking, prepare the garlic mayo dip by combining mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Mix well.
- Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving with the garlic mayo dip.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of cayenne pepper to the fries for a spicy kick.
- You can also substitute the mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a lighter dip option.
