Description
A delicious and guilt-free cauliflower pizza crust that is easy to make and perfect for a healthy meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 medium head of cauliflower (about 2 to 3 cups riced)
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Olive oil spray (for greasing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with olive oil.
- Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower, and cut it into florets.
- In a food processor, pulse the cauliflower florets until they resemble rice or fine crumbs.
- Transfer the riced cauliflower to a microwave-safe bowl and cover it with a damp paper towel. Microwave on high for 5-6 minutes until softened.
- Allow it to cool slightly.
- Once cooled, place the cauliflower in a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the riced cauliflower, egg, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping it into a round crust about 1/4 inch thick.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and firm.
- Remove the crust from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before adding your favorite toppings.
- Return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes to bake the toppings, if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the crust mixture.
- Experiment with different cheeses, such as cheddar or feta, for a unique flavor profile.
