Description
Juicy grilled chicken marinated in a zesty blend of citrus and herbs, perfect for summer barbecues.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, orange juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
- Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the chicken is no longer pink in the center.
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, add a teaspoon of smoked paprika to the marinade.
- Serve the grilled chicken over a bed of mixed greens or in a wrap with your favorite vegetables for a refreshing meal.
