Description

Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus Bundles are a delicious and easy appetizer or side dish that combines the crispiness of bacon with the freshness of asparagus.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 8 ounces bacon (about 12 slices)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the trimmed asparagus with olive oil, garlic powder, black pepper, and sea salt until evenly coated.
  3. Take a bundle of 3-4 asparagus spears and wrap them with a slice of bacon, starting at the bottom and spiraling up to the top. Secure the bacon by tucking the end underneath the bundle. Repeat with the remaining asparagus and bacon.
  4. Place the bundles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If desired, drizzle balsamic vinegar over the bundles for added flavor.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the asparagus is tender.
  6. Serve warm as an appetizer or side dish.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese on top of the bundles before baking.
  • You can also substitute prosciutto for bacon for a different taste and texture.
