Description
Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus Bundles are a delicious and easy appetizer or side dish that combines the crispiness of bacon with the freshness of asparagus.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 8 ounces bacon (about 12 slices)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- In a large bowl, toss the trimmed asparagus with olive oil, garlic powder, black pepper, and sea salt until evenly coated.
- Take a bundle of 3-4 asparagus spears and wrap them with a slice of bacon, starting at the bottom and spiraling up to the top. Secure the bacon by tucking the end underneath the bundle. Repeat with the remaining asparagus and bacon.
- Place the bundles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If desired, drizzle balsamic vinegar over the bundles for added flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the asparagus is tender.
- Serve warm as an appetizer or side dish.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese on top of the bundles before baking.
- You can also substitute prosciutto for bacon for a different taste and texture.
