Description

Discover this easy recipe for Almond Flour Cheddar Biscuits, perfect for a gluten-free treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Add the shredded cheddar cheese to the dry ingredients and mix until evenly distributed.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and melted butter until well combined.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. If using, fold in the chopped chives.
  6. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop tablespoon-sized portions of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on the edges.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the dry ingredients.
  • Substitute the cheddar cheese with your favorite cheese, such as pepper jack or mozzarella, for a different flavor profile.
